Dicamba residue persistence in processing tomato

چکیده

Abstract There is zero tolerance for dicamba and metabolite residue in tomato ( Solanum lycopersicum L.) fruit following exposure to dicamba. Field trials were conducted 2020 2021 determine the persistence of (5-hydroxy 3,6-dichlorosalicylic acid [DCSA]) processing shoots fruits. Dicamba was applied 49 d after transplanting at 0, 0.53, 5.3, 53 g ae ha −1 . Tomato plants harvested 5, 10, 20, 40, 61 treatment (DAT). No 5-hydroxy recovered from any sample. In 2020, DCSA detected shoot tissue when rate 0 (14 µg kg ), 5 (3 20 DAT (5 ) (2 ). 2021, not or tissues harvest date. By DAT, only treated with At detectable on 5.3 had a predicted peak 19 11.3 DAT. decreased 164 8 Furthermore, this study confirms that fruits Growers who suspect should include their collected sample separately.

Incorporation of chlorothalonil persistence on processing tomato into TOM-CAST

Measurements of chlorothalonil residue on tomato foliage are expensive and time consuming, yet knowledge of chlorothalonil persistence would assist in fungicide application scheduling. The objective of this study was to calibrate an existing chlorothalonil persistence model for processing tomatoes, and to incorporate the predictions of chlorothalonil residue into TOM-CAST. The Bruhn and Fry (19...

Dicamba residues in streams after forest spraying.

Control of hardwoods is vitally important in the establishment of Douglas-fir seedlings on Pacific Northwest forest lands. In reducing the competition of these brushy species, herbicides have become nearly an indispensable tool. However, with the increasing awareness of the importance of a clean environment, it has become apparent that the safe use of these chemicals requires a knowledge of the...

Sorption of aged dicamba residues in soil.

The effect of aging (residence time in soil) on dicamba (3,6-dichloro-2-methoxybenzoic acid) and a major metabolite, 3,6-dichlorosalicylic acid (3,6-DCSA) sorption was determined in an unamended and a carbon-amended sandy loam and in a silt loam soil. During the incubation, sequential solvent extraction with 0.01 M calcium chloride solution and aqueous acetonitrile + hydrochloric acid was used ...

Effects of Crop Residue on the Persistence of Steinernema carpocapsae.

We determined the effects of crop residue on the persistence of an entomopathogenic nematode, Steinernema carpocapsae. During 2 consecutive years, nematodes were applied at rates of 2.5 x 10 and 1.0 x 10 infective juveniles/m(2) to small field plots planted with corn. Nematode persistence was monitored by exposing Galleria mellonella larvae to soil samples from plots with and without crop resid...
